About the operator

BusinessSold is operated by TDF Consultancy Limited (company number 10248390), with its registered office at 111a George Lane, South Woodford, London, E18 1AN. References to BusinessSold, “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms mean TDF Consultancy Limited.

Using BusinessSold

You must be at least 18, provide accurate account information and keep access to your account secure. You are responsible for activity carried out using your identity.

Listings and broker profiles

Sellers and brokers must have authority to market a business and must ensure that descriptions, financial figures, images and claims are accurate, current and not misleading. Confidential or personal information should not be published unless there is a lawful reason to do so.

BusinessSold may review, reject, edit the visibility of, pause or remove content to protect users or enforce these terms. Approval means a listing has passed the marketplace workflow; it is not a guarantee, valuation or endorsement of the business.

Buyer responsibilities

Buyers must use enquiry information only to evaluate the relevant opportunity, respect confidentiality and carry out independent legal, financial, commercial and regulatory due diligence before acting.

Buyer qualification information is self-declared unless the service explicitly states that an independent check has been completed. Users must communicate lawfully and respectfully and must not send spam, harassment or deceptive messages through private enquiry threads.

Confidential deal rooms

A buyer requesting confidential information must accept the wording shown at the time of the request and provide their full legal name. Approved access is personal, limited to evaluating that opportunity and may be revoked. Buyers must not redistribute documents and must delete them when reasonably requested. Sellers decide whether to grant access and remain responsible for ensuring they are entitled to share each document. Deal-specific agreements and professional advice may still be required. Buyer-identifying labels applied to downloaded PDFs are a deterrent and audit aid, not a guarantee against copying or redistribution.

Packages and payments

Package descriptions, prices and durations shown at the time of purchase will govern that listing term. When checkout is enabled, Stripe processes card payments and BusinessSold activates package access only after receiving verified payment confirmation. Monthly packages renew until cancelled through the billing portal; access may continue to the end of the paid period. Failed, reversed or fully refunded payments may suspend the related package or listing. During a private or manually operated launch, an administrator may grant a package without card payment where the interface states this clearly.

Marketplace role

BusinessSold provides an advertising and introduction platform. It is not a party to a business sale, does not hold client money and does not provide legal, tax, investment, valuation or financial advice. Users choose whether to communicate or transact and should appoint qualified advisers.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit and give BusinessSold permission to host, reproduce and display it as needed to operate and promote the marketplace. You must have the rights required to submit that content. The BusinessSold service, branding and original site materials remain protected.

Suspension and termination

BusinessSold may restrict or suspend accounts, broker profiles or listings where there is a safety concern, breach, legal requirement or material risk to the marketplace. Users may stop using the service and withdraw eligible listings through their dashboard.

Liability and governing law

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, BusinessSold is not responsible for user-supplied information, failed negotiations or decisions made without independent checks. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts will have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
